Hi to all of our supporters. We have been in the shop working on new products for the website. We have some exciting news for all of you. As of today, we will be carrying Mickey’s Dice Bag on our website. We have been taking them to just events and or selling them as part of a combo set.  We have been posting some of the pictures on Instagram and Facebook. We should have them all up sometime this week.

Also, we purchased a ring light to help with videos and taking pictures. We bought a Bower 12″ RGB Ring Light Studio Kit from Walmart. Finally, we can take photos of the collapsible dice cup and tray and upload new product listings on the website. We are working on a lot of new and exciting products that will be revealed over the coming weeks.

Also, we have been taking videos with an ApeMan A66 action camera for our YouTube Channel. So, we are making instructional videos, tips and tricks videos, and “highlight reels” from our event. We are learning how to edit with our new software from DaVinci Resolve. We will be putting more videos on our YouTube channel every Friday.

If you don’t already “Like”, “Subscribe”, or “Follow” us… you should! It’s a great way to stay up-to-date with new merchandise, about upcoming events, tips and tricks on leather work.

We’re still searching for a 15 passenger van to put everything in it.  We started a Ko-fi Page! Ko-fi helps creators get support from fans of our work. Please support or follow our page! https://ko-fi.com/dragoncatleather . We set up a goal of $5000 to buy a van.

Cincinnati Celtic Festival July 23, 2021

Hi to all of our supporters. It was an adventurous and hot weekend at the Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Fest presented by FedEx Ground.  If you haven’t already read any of our blogs, here is a little background history about the street faire.

Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Fest presented by FedEx Ground is a yearly free Celtic Festival. The Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Festival, presented by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Foundation is one of our largest fundraising events. It takes place in July this year  directly in front of the Great American Ballpark on Freedom Way. Join us to celebrate Celtic Heritage with family fun, great food, Celtic music and more.

We expanded on the farmers market layout. We are bringing belts, purses, wallets, cord keepers, growler carriers, wine bottle carriers, bracelets and a few journals. We got all our products into one large bin but still needed two vehicles for the setup. We’re still searching for a 15 passenger van to put everything in it.  We started a Ko-fi Page! Ko-fi helps creators get support from fans of our work. Please support or follow our page! https://ko-fi.com/dragoncatleather . We set up a goal of $5000 to buy a van.

Setup for the festival began at 9:00 am. The setup was an adventure because of the heat, unrelenting sun, and arriving at setup at 2:30 pm . It ended up being a beautiful night for the festival on Friday. Saturday and Sunday, the temperature soared to the high Nineties.  Everyone was excited to be out and enjoying the festival. There were about 30 vendors at the festival. It was a good mix of vendors featuring Dublin Pub from Dayton. There was a Scotch and Irish testing tent.  Also, we had live music by some wonderful bands (Lost Celts, Mad Maudlin, Easter Rising)  led by the headliner Seven Nations.

We will be back at it again at Tsubasacon in October from 1pm to 11pm on Friday, 9am to 7pm (saturday), and 9am to 4pm(sunday).

Waynesville Street Fair July 17, 2021

Hi to all of our supporters. It was an adventure on Saturday July 17, at the Waynesville Street Faire.  If you haven’t already read any of our blogs, here is a little background history about the street faire.

Waynesville Street Faire is held once a month on a Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, June through September. The  Waynesville Street Faire features 40 Art and Vintage/Antique vendors who are setting up in the street to bring, share and talk about the joy of what they artistically create. The Waynesville Street Faire is sponsored by The Waynesville Shops. The  Waynesville Street Faire will have booths with crafts, quilts, pottery, textiles, art and handcrafted jewelry all created by the talented people in our neighboring communities. In addition to the vendors, Waynesville is home to the most wonderful and amazing gifts and antiques. The shops will be open and they hope to see you and your family! Eat – Shop – Enjoy while walking around this quaint town on Main Street in Waynesville,Ohio.

. We stuck with the current layout with a few things added.

Setup for the market will be at 7:15 am. The setup was an adventure because of the rain, wind, and last minute changes to booth movement . It ended up being a beautiful day for the market. It got a little hotter at the close of the market.  Everyone was excited to be out and enjoying the market. There were about 30 vendors at the market. It was a good mix of vendors featuring fresh local vegetables, tea, arts, and crafts. A few highlights, we met the owner of a trio of dogs, she wanted a custom made dog collar for them . We met some talented artists working with different mediums. Also, we had live music by some wonderful bands.

We will be back at it again on July 23, 2021 at the Cincinnati Celtic Festival from 5pm to 11pm on Friday, 12 pm to 11pm (Saturday), and 12 pm to 7pm(Sunday).

Setup for the market started at 7:30 am. We arrived around 8:00 am. Setup was a breeze for us. It was a windy day for the market. It got a little hotter at the close of the market. . Everyone was excited to be out and enjoying the market. There were about 30 vendors at the market. It was a good mix of vendors featuring fresh, local vegetables, meats, dairy products, baked goods, arts and crafts. A few highlights, we bought jalapeno and cheese brats from the  wonderful folks at Billy’s Bacon & Brats. Those brats taste great and are very massive. We had buckeye bread loaf and lemon poppy seed bread from one of the bakeries. Our friends from Sleepy Panda Forge and Leather were at the market.

Kings Islands WinterFest 2018

Following a twelve year absence, Winterfest returned in 2017. The annual Christmas themed event starts on the fourth Friday (Black Friday) in November for selected dates until the New Year. The first year the Artisan Village was located underneath the Eiffel Tower. This year, the village was move to accommodate the igloo rentals underneath the Eiffel Tower. There are many things to do at Winterfest including ice skating, watching shows, riding select roller coasters, decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus, riding in horse driven carriages and shopping at Artisan Village. The most important things to do other than shop at Artisan Village, is buying a $10 hot cocoa mug, the first night are free refills. On return visits, refills are discounted with returned hot cocoa mugs. We have done both years of Winterfest. The booths at Artisan Village are a 7 by 9 shed with a heater. This year, we had some items to bring including sleigh bells, Ohio state bells, bracers, growler/howler carriers, and cup sleeves. We had the Holly Jolly Trolley perform twice a night in front of our shed. And you can’t forget the Christmas Techno House. It was an enjoyable festival since its Ohio; expect the weather to be crazy.  If you are one of the many folks that asked about custom orders, please fill out the form on the contact us page. Dayton Craft and Artisan Expo

Dayton Artisan and Craft Expo have been running since 2016. The first two years of the expo has been held at the Dayton Masonic Center in Dayton, Ohio. The third year, the Expo changed venue to Greene County Fairgrounds. The attendance was noticeable less than the first two years at the Dayton Masonic Center. We have done all three years of the Expo. The 2016 Dayton Artisan and Craft expo was our first show that started us on this journey. That year we had a double booth by the second year, we moved to the second floor sales increased. In 2018, the Expo moved to the Green County Fairgrounds, it was not a good fit for us. We had some returned customers, which is awesome. If you are one of the many folks that ask about custom orders, please fill out the form on the contact us page. Neo ComicCon 4th Edition August 19, 2018

It was an awesome day for the comic con. It slightly overcast and cool , which it didn’t stop patrons from making a stop indoors for the Comic Con. It was our second year vending at Neo ComicConNeo ComicCon had three panels; Ask the Professionals, Cosplay 101, and Film Action Sequence Choreography & Safety.  Attendance was up from last year. It had great selection of toys, comic books, confections, and leather products. We made a cat mask but didn’t get the bunny mask ready in time. Patrons seemed to enjoy the mask by trying them on and taking pictures. It always feels good to have return patrons from last year’s Neo ComicCon.
