Texas Renaissance Festival Part Two

Hi to all of our supporters, this is update 2 of us at the Texas Renaissance Festival. Our booth number is F18 in the Florence Market by the Wedding Chapels. We have a new logo made by Jace Rowan.

The Texas Renaissance Festival started in 1974. The TRF was founded in 1974 by brothers, George and David Coulam, on an abandoned strip mining site in what is now Todd Mission, Texas. At the time, it spanned fifteen acres, with three stages featuring small improv theatre groups, and merchants selling their goods on blankets. The opening year saw a turn-out of 33,000. As of 2017, the festival sits on 55 acres of land, and offers over 200 acres of camping facilities to patrons. The festival regularly draws over half a million guests annually, making it the largest Renaissance festival in the country by attendance.

TRF is open every weekend  from October 8 to November 27 plus Black Friday. Every weekend is themed. Azure went fly home before opening weekend. The plan is for Azure to make stuff and send it to me. The first three weekends were hot and humid. The themed weekends were Octoberfest, 1001 Dream, and Pirates.  It was great to see patrons dressed up in their garb. I stay at the campsite Thursday to Monday and live at a motel during the week.

Texas Renaissance Festival Part One

Hi to all of our supporters, it has been a while posting on our blog. Some good news, we found a van, bought a historic correct tent and we got into the Texas Renaissance Festival.

The Texas Renaissance Festival started in 1974. The TRF was founded in 1974 by brothers, George and David Coulam, on an abandoned strip mining site in what is now Todd Mission, Texas. The festival regularly draws over half a million guests annually, making it the largest Renaissance festival in the country by attendance.

Setup for us started on September 30 at  Texas Renaissance Festival , the next day was a dry run for TRF. It was the first time we set up with our tent from Oakenfoot. On dry run day, the booth had to be ready and we dressed in our renaissance garb. TRF is open every weekend  from October 8 to November 27 plus Black Friday. Every weekend is themed .

DogTap Exchange February 10, 2019

Founded in 2007, BrewDog started in Scotland with a mission to revolutionize beer drinking. In 2015, BrewDog brought their revolution to the United States and landed in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2015, it has expanded to a bar in the Short North and Franklinton. Dog Tap just opened a hotel at the brewery and dogs are allowed to stay here. The Dog Tap Exchange started about a year ago. The Exchange features local made products and artists.

We have done all but 1 of the Exchanges. This is my favorite place. One main reason is puppies are allowed in the building and patio. The Exchange was held in the lobby of Dog Tap but moved to the museum part of the building. This gave the people more time to look at the artists and vendors. This was first show with a condensed version of our 10 x 10 spot.  The crowds were steady all day even with the snow. We are looking forward to the next Exchange.

If you are one of the many folks that asked about custom orders, please fill out the form on the contact us page. Dayton Craft and Artisan Expo

Dayton Artisan and Craft Expo have been running since 2016. The first two years of the expo has been held at the Dayton Masonic Center in Dayton, Ohio. The third year, the Expo changed venue to Greene County Fairgrounds. The attendance was noticeable less than the first two years at the Dayton Masonic Center. We have done all three years of the Expo. The 2016 Dayton Artisan and Craft expo was our first show that started us on this journey. That year we had a double booth by the second year, we moved to the second floor sales increased. In 2018, the Expo moved to the Green County Fairgrounds, it was not a good fit for us. We had some returned customers, which is awesome. If you are one of the many folks that ask about custom orders, please fill out the form on the contact us page. Also, if you saw something in our booth not listed on the website, please fill out the form on the contact page.  Thanks again for coming out and seeing us. Neo ComicCon 4th Edition August 19, 2018

It was an awesome day for the comic con. It slightly overcast and cool , which it didn’t stop patrons from making a stop indoors for the Comic Con. It was our second year vending at Neo ComicConNeo ComicCon had three panels; Ask the Professionals, Cosplay 101, and Film Action Sequence Choreography & Safety.  Attendance was up from last year. It had great selection of toys, comic books, confections, and leather products. We made a cat mask but didn’t get the bunny mask ready in time. Patrons seemed to enjoy the mask by trying them on and taking pictures. It always feels good to have return patrons from last year’s Neo ComicCon. We added a new item to our collection of products. We are continuing to add exciting new products to our website. If you are one of the many folks that ask about custom orders, please fill out the form on the contact us page.
