Springfield Farmer’s Market June 12, 2021

Hi to all of our supporters. Another great morning at The Springfield Farmers Market. If you haven’t already read any of our blogs, here is a little background history about it.

Springfield Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, June through September. The Springfield Farmers Market is held adjacent to the Heritage center on North Market Place in Springfield, Ohio. It features dozens of local vendors featuring fresh, local vegetables, meats, dairy products, baked goods, arts and crafts. Also, COhatch Springfield is open with 5 restaurants and two bars located inside the old Myer’s Market .

. We went very simple again. We decided on bringing belts, purses, wallets, cord keepers, growler carriers, wine bottle carriers, bracelets and a few journals. We got all our products into one large bin but still needed two vehicles for the setup. We’re still searching for a 15 passenger van to put everything in it.  We started a Ko-fi Page! Setup for the market started at 7:30 am. We arrived around 8 am. Setup was a breeze for us. It was a beautiful day for the market. It got a little hotter at the close of the market. . Everyone was excited to be out and enjoying the market. There were about 30 vendors at the market. It was a good mix of vendors featuring fresh, local vegetables, meats, dairy products, baked goods, arts and crafts. A few highlights, we met one of the owners of Bank Barn Meats . Also, we met some wonderful folks at Billy’s Bacon & Brats.  Our friends from Sleepy Panda Forge and Leather were at the market.

We will be back at it again on Saturday June 26 from 9am to 12:30pm. Come out and visit us. Also,  it was good to see Justin from Sleepy Panda Forge and Leather. The last time we saw him and his wife was at BrewDog DogTap Columbus.

We will be back at it again on Saturday June 12 from 9am to 12:30pm. Come out and visit us.

DogTap Exchange February 10, 2019

Founded in 2007, BrewDog started in Scotland with a mission to revolutionize beer drinking. In 2015, BrewDog brought their revolution to the United States and landed in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2015, it has expanded to a bar in the Short North and Franklinton. Dog Tap just opened a hotel at the brewery and dogs are allowed to stay here. The Dog Tap Exchange started about a year ago. The Exchange features local made products and artists.

We have done all but 1 of the Exchanges. This is my favorite place. One main reason is puppies are allowed in the building and patio. The Exchange was held in the lobby of Dog Tap but moved to the museum part of the building. This gave the people more time to look at the artists and vendors. This was first show with a condensed version of our 10 x 10 spot.  The crowds were steady all day even with the snow. We are looking forward to the next Exchange.

Kings Islands WinterFest 2018

Following a twelve year absence, Winterfest returned in 2017. The annual Christmas themed event starts on the fourth Friday (Black Friday) in November for selected dates until the New Year. The first year the Artisan Village was located underneath the Eiffel Tower. This year, the village was move to accommodate the igloo rentals underneath the Eiffel Tower. There are many things to do at Winterfest including ice skating, watching shows, riding select roller coasters, decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus, riding in horse driven carriages and shopping at Artisan Village. The most important things to do other than shop at Artisan Village, is buying a $10 hot cocoa mug, the first night are free refills. On return visits, refills are discounted with returned hot cocoa mugs. We have done both years of Winterfest. The booths at Artisan Village are a 7 by 9 shed with a heater. This year, we had some items to bring including sleigh bells, Ohio state bells, bracers, growler/howler carriers, and cup sleeves. We had the Holly Jolly Trolley perform twice a night in front of our shed. And you can’t forget the Christmas Techno House. Dayton Craft and Artisan Expo

Dayton Artisan and Craft Expo have been running since 2016. The first two years of the expo has been held at the Dayton Masonic Center in Dayton, Ohio. The third year, the Expo changed venue to Greene County Fairgrounds. The attendance was noticeable less than the first two years at the Dayton Masonic Center. We have done all three years of the Expo. The 2016 Dayton Artisan and Craft expo was our first show that started us on this journey. That year we had a double booth by the second year, we moved to the second floor sales increased. In 2018, the Expo moved to the Green County Fairgrounds, it was not a good fit for us. Indiana Renaissance Faire October 6-7, 2018

It was a great weekend. a bit muddy, but that just added to the festival ambiance.  It was a tad bit on the hot side but that didn’t damper a thing. Many people dressed in all kinds of outfits ranging from full on ren faire to prisoner attire.   This was our first show we had a nice selection of bracers and got to bring our triangle grid, to hang all our hanging merchandise, which allowed that merch. to be displayed much better then at previous shows. Had I known they sold wine here I would have definitely made more wine bottle carriers! Neo ComicCon 4th Edition August 19, 2018

It was an awesome day for the comic con. It slightly overcast and cool , which it didn’t stop patrons from making a stop indoors for the Comic Con. It was our second year vending at Neo ComicCon.  Neo ComicCon had three panels; Ask the Professionals, Cosplay 101, and Film Action Sequence Choreography & Safety.  Attendance was up from last year. It had great selection of toys, comic books, confections, and leather products. We made a cat mask but didn’t get the bunny mask ready in time. Patrons seemed to enjoy the mask by trying them on and taking pictures. It always feels good to have return patrons from last year’s Neo ComicCon. We added a new item to our collection of products. We are continuing to add exciting new products to our website. Dayton Celtic Festival July 27-29, 2018

It was an awesome weekend for the festival. It slightly overcast the whole weekend and the breeze from the river kept it cool. This was our second year vending at The Dayton Celtic Festival. It felt good to have return visitors from last year’s festival. We even had a patron from another show in Dayton, come to see us at this festival. We added a few new items to our collection of products. We made wine bottles, howler and growler carriers. We are slowly adding products to our website.
